Kannan Balakrishnan is a seasoned technology executive and leader with over 17 years of experience in managing businesses and IT organizations. He has successfully led several strategic initiatives like designing operating procedures, empowering employees, and creating new businesses within a firm. Kannan has developed domain expertise in different industries like transportation, finance, health care, retail, and ecommerce industries. He has executed and delivered several turnkey projects, including 45+ ecommerce site deployments for mid to large size clients. He has also successfully steered a firm out of bankruptcy situation.

Kannan has a Bachelor of Technology in textile technology from Anna University and a Master of Business Administration in general business management and administration from Northern Illinois University. He is also an ITIL V3 certified IT Service Management professional, a Sun Certified Enterprise Architect and has very strong technical skills. He has international business exposure and experience from Greece, Turkey, India, and USA. Currently, Kannan heads the IT strategy, IT logistics, operations and support services delivered by Cogniseer and he leads strategic initiatives focused on achieving Cogniseer”s goals. Kannan has very strong interests in philanthropy and participates in community service projects in the Greater Chicago area.
